The European demonstrator in Merdingen.

SalvaTerra is installed at the Fraunhofer ISE test site in Merdingen, Germany, within the SPHINX project. The U-shaped arrangement brings together vertical photovoltaic surfaces with different exposures alongside the photovoltaic barrier demonstrators.

From product to field data.

The monitoring system links electrical operation to exposure and environmental conditions. Integration into data collection was confirmed by the technical team on 7 August 2026: a step supporting observation of the configurations over time.

The photograph shared by Davide Avantaggiato in October 2026 shows the arrangement of planters at the test site. The new SPHINX project page presents the installation and Etway’s contribution to the European development of integrated photovoltaics.

The technical framework is documented in the public SPHINX D5.6 report, October 2025 ↗; monitoring connection update: technical communication of 7 August 2026.
